Job Summary
MaineHealth is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics program. As a key member of our team, you will provide psychological assessments, consultations, and limited treatment to children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. You will also teach and supervise residents, medical students, and other team members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, developmental, and psychodiagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including behavioral interventions and cognitive-behavioral therapy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to children with neurodevelopmental disabilities
- Teach and supervise residents, medical students, and other team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of program policies and procedures
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or related field from an APA/CPA accredited university
- License or license-eligible as a Psychologist by the State of Maine
- Current BLS certification
- Experience working with pediatric patients with neurodevelopmental disabilities
- Training and experience in administering and interpreting cognitive, developmental, and psychodiagnostic assessment instruments
- Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
