General Service/Tire Technician
at our St Charles County location.
The
General Service/Tire Technician
is tasked with performing essential automotive services, including oil changes, tire and wheel services, and light vehicle maintenance. Additional responsibilities include driving customers, picking up parts, and ensuring the shop remains clean and organized.
COMPENSATION:
$16-$20 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing, and rotations.
- Perform oil changes and other basic automotive services.
- Utilize the company's Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to accurately document vehicle conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the shop, including service areas, tire racks, and showrooms.
- Drive vehicles safely and courteously, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Transport customers and pick up parts and supplies as needed.
- Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections (where applicable) ethically and in accordance with company and state guidelines.
- Follow all safety protocols and report any concerns to the supervisor.
- Be flexible with scheduling, including weekends as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- A general understanding of mechanical systems is preferred.
- Must possess a current, valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
The
General Service/Tire Technician
will encounter moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, and various automotive materials.
Work environments may experience extreme temperatures.
Safety goggles or other PPE may be necessary in certain conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for up to eight hours and walk throughout the shop.
- Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds frequently.
- Effective communication with customers and team members is essential.
- Vision must be sufficient to detect color, depth, and focus.
