Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Information Security Engineer to join our Information Technology team. This pivotal role is responsible for managing and enhancing the firm's technical security infrastructure while ensuring a robust cybersecurity posture. The ideal candidate will possess a profound passion for information security and a comprehensive understanding of security principles, advanced cybersecurity methodologies, and innovative technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT, Risk Management, and Compliance teams to analyze and fortify security controls while implementing comprehensive security requirements.
  • Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of information security policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
  • Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analyses to identify indicators of compromise, and maintain documentation for corrective actions and enhancements.
  • Oversee third-party providers to improve security controls and procedures.
  • Manage the vulnerability lifecycle from identification to resolution, collaborating with IT teams to uphold secure baseline configurations.
  • Administer security controls such as intrusion detection/protection systems, identity access management systems, firewalls, and security incident management systems.
  • Monitor and analyze event logging across the organization, ensuring effective alerting mechanisms are in place.
  • Identify and address gaps in security controls, collaborating with the business to ensure proper implementation of the information security program.
  • Conduct reviews of external systems that utilize firm or client NPPI.
  • Stay informed about the latest security technologies, trends, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats, providing expert guidance to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information security, or related fields.
  • Over 5 years of experience in a dedicated security role with increasing responsibilities.
  • Experience in Information Security domains, including Governance, Compliance, and Regulations, with knowledge of frameworks like CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC reports.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP/CCSP, CySA+/CASP+, Security+, or GIAC are highly preferred.

Specialized Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of computing environments, including virtualization, cloud technologies, networks, and protocols.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, capable of assessing complex security issues and recommending practical solutions.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to produce documentation independently and communicate effectively.
  • Solid project management skills, including organizing, planning, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with business partners and key stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks.
