About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and fashion-forward Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Talbots. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with our customers, and driving sales growth through effective sales and service strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service to customers, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to make informed product recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest fashion trends and product knowledge to effectively communicate with customers and drive sales.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to achieve sales and service goals, participating in learning opportunities and accepting direction, coaching, and feedback.
  • Maximize individual performance by participating in operational assignments, such as filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate selling competence, styling expertise, and a love of fashion.
  • Driven to create, build, and cultivate relationships.
  • Possess a strong ambition and passion for achieving goals, both as an individual and as a member of the store team.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and a high level of integrity.
  • Possess the technological competency to navigate a computer/iPad/handheld system.
  • Have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Able to work cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Have open availability of (15 to 20) hours per week.
