Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Plato's Closet Madison East & West. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, and assisting with inventory management.

About the Position:

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be the face of our store, interacting with customers, answering questions, and providing recommendations. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves, folding merchandise, and ensuring that the store is visually appealing. Additionally, you will assist with inventory management, including receiving and processing merchandise, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves, folding merchandise, and ensuring that the store is visually appealing.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and processing merchandise, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Process customer transactions, including ringing up sales and handling returns and exchanges.
  • Participate in visual merchandising, including creating visually appealing displays and arranging merchandise to maximize sales.
  • Assist with store events and promotions, including setting up displays and promoting products to customers.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
