Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough, systematic assessments of assigned patients to identify their unique needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Formulate and implement collaborative and individualized plans of care, setting clear expected patient outcomes.
- Implement, evaluate, and document the effectiveness of patient care interventions in accordance with established care plans.
- Organize, coordinate, and prioritize patient care consistently, utilizing available resources to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain awareness of unit budget and contribute to cost-effective care delivery.
- Function as a professional role model and resource person, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
- Take an active role in unit-based performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain responsibility for own professional development through active participation in in-services and continuing education programs.
- Comply with established chain of command for work-related problems and concerns.
- Participate in identifying unit needs and support unit goals and objectives that contribute to the growth of the Patient Services Department.
- Maintain departmental records for administrative and regulatory purposes.
- Collaborate with other caregivers to ensure appropriate staffing levels on all shifts.
This role requires:
- Sitting for up to 2 hours per day, with breaks in between.
- Standing for up to 10 hours per day, with regular breaks.
- Walking for 6 hours per day, with regular breaks.
- Consistent lifting, carrying, and pushing of objects up to 10 pounds.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing of objects up to 75 pounds.
- Transporting patients weighing up to 500 pounds via wheelchair, bed, and/or stretcher.
- Frequent stooping and bending.
- Frequent reaching above shoulder level.
- Ability to perceive attributes of objects through touch.
- Ability to hear as it relates to normal conversation and high and low frequencies.
- Ability to see as it relates to general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision.
Requirements include:
- Current RN license in the State of New Jersey or Pennsylvania, based on work location.
- One year of medical/surgical experience preferred.
- Individualized orientation program for all areas.
- Evidence of successful completion of BLS.
