Heavy Haulage Driver

At Smithfield Foods, we're seeking a Heavy Haulage Driver with a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of feed products across various locations.

You'll be responsible for:

• Successfully completing a comprehensive training program to ensure your understanding of our operations and safety protocols.
• Following all relevant safety procedures while driving, delivering feed, and loading/unloading trailers.
• Complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and requirements.
• Reporting any accidents or incidents promptly and accurately.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Class A CDL.
• Prior driving experience, preferably in a similar industry.
• Age 21 or older.
• An acceptable driving record.
• The ability to obtain a DOT medical card upon hire.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

This role requires you to:

• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate a manual transmission tractor.
• Climb into the engine area and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Move equipment and trailers safely and efficiently.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure is based on national averages for similar roles and does not include additional benefits or perks.
