Electronic Assembler

The Electronic Assembler will work in the packaging department with the expectation of cross-training in areas such as assembly, Juki operation, SMT, working with laminates, potting, and pad printing.
This position involves assembling electronic and electromechanical components, contributing to top-grade electronic systems. Responsibilities include installing through-hole components, subassemblies, wiring, rivets, nuts/bolts, and lead-free soldering techniques.
Packaging Responsibilities:
- Assemble repetitive hand-folded cartons of varying sizes and styles.
- Load operating program files in production machines.
- Operate printing, folding, and packaging tools, fixtures, machines, and dispensers.
- Move materials between stocking locations and packaging area without assistance from others.
- Inspect one's own work to assure error-free results.
Other Responsibilities with Cross-Training:
- Follow sequential assembly instructions, including visual drawings, written instructions, photographs, or mechanical samples, independently.
- Identify and work with standard electronic components, such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, transistors, connectors, terminal blocks, integrated circuits, pins, jumpers, and wires.
- Produce repetitive hand-soldered joints with proper flow using various solder types.
- Operate hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools.
- Set up workstations for the assembly process and handle materials independently.
- Adhere to safety instructions and practices diligently.
- Maintain a constant focus on assembly tasks without interfering with other team members.
- Inspect your own work to ensure error-free results.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Experience soldering through-hole and/or surface mount electronic components using lead-free solder.
- Basic computer skills sufficient to access and navigate network-based assembly instructions.
Physical Demands:
- Sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, kneeling, or bending to the floor; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing instructions.
- Eye/Hand coordination constant welding and cutting. Occasionally Forming, swaging, and inspection.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Working Environment:
- High noise levels while working near operating machines.
- Physical hazards while working near moving equipment and mechanical parts.
- Must follow personal protective equipment guidelines in all work areas.
- Must wear appropriate footwear: Shoes that cover toes and sides of feet.
Location:
You'll work in person at our Prescott, AZ facility.
