Role Description:

Arcadis is currently seeking a Senior Technical Lead for Power Delivery and Renewable Energy to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team.

This is a senior technical position within the Power Delivery & Renewable unit of Arcadis.

The position requires the candidate to directly interface with clients and the Arcadis power delivery team, manage project management, project engineering, proposal management, and business development.

The candidate will also ensure day-to-day client engagement, coordination, and project execution.

The position is accountable for ensuring project execution in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including all of Arcadis's policies and procedures, such as Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control.

The incumbent will also work closely with other Power Delivery departments, including the Substation Engineering, Transmission Engineering, Protection & Control Engineering, Distribution and EV Technology, and the System Planning and Studies teams, as well as with other Arcadis business divisions and sectors.

The position consists of coordinating the power delivery renewable energy team and performing hands-on Solar engineering, detail design, and studies for utility and developer clients in North America.

The incumbent will also work closely with other renewable energy teams (e.g., wind, BESS/storage, green H2, etc.) with Arcadis business units.

Role Accountabilities:

  1. Support, develop, and deliver grid-scale Solar PV projects from feasibility studies, conceptual layouts, and one-line diagrams and supporting the detailed design through the completion of Issue For Construction design packages.
  2. Identify, evaluate, and analyze solar PV technologies, products, and vendors and support clients with technology and vendor selection and implementation.
  3. Develop and review engineering design plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents at various design milestones for Solar projects.
  4. Coordinate closely with civil, structural, high-voltage electrical, SCADA/telecommunications, and geotechnical engineers to develop complete Issue For Construction design packages for Solar projects.
  5. Support microgrid and distributed energy resources projects as necessary by developing detailed electrical engineering designs.
  6. Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Program Manager, Account Manager, and Technical Lead to support services and plan, develop, and grow power delivery clients' goals and business growth for the region.
  7. As well as to serve as a mentor to junior members of the team.
  8. Conduct quality assurance/quality control on the work of other electrical engineers, electrical designers, or technicians.
  9. Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors to support business development and project execution.
