We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and under the direction of a physician to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient interviews and compile comprehensive medical histories to inform health status assessments.
- Perform physical examinations, noting normal and abnormal findings, and obtain specimens for laboratory testing as required.
- Order and perform diagnostic tests, including non-routine laboratory tests and procedures, to inform patient care decisions.
- Develop and implement care plans in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with supervisory physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and families on maintaining good health and disease prevention.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices through regular continuing education programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Certification by the NCCPA or similar national certifying body.
- Completion of a CAAHEP-certified Physician Assistant program.
- Licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland or other state where practicing.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Dermatology Physician Assistant.
