Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Financial Services industry group. As a Tax Manager, you will provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the banking and financial services industries. You will work directly with clients, manage tax engagement teams, and have access to an elite group of specialists when needed. You will also be connected to a proven support system from firm leadership to ensure your success in your role and career.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain dedicated client relationships on various federal and state tax consulting/compliance engagements.
  • Advise clients on a variety of tax issues, including accounting for income taxes, tax provisions, tax compliance, and assist with audits/notices by federal and state taxing authorities.
  • Perform detailed reviews of tax work papers and provision calculations completed by other associates.
  • Provide training, direction, and supervision to staff and senior accountants.
  • Oversee consulting projects requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
  • Maintain technical expertise in various tax areas related to financial institutions to provide services and solutions relevant to our clients' business.
  • Participate and provide leadership for firm initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • One of the following accreditations obtained: Licensed CPA or licensed attorney.
  • 5 years minimum corporate tax experience.
  • Proven managerial experience with budgets, people, and projects.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A self-starter with the ability to effectively handle multiple, competing priorities.
