Diesel Engine Technician

About the Role:
As a Diesel Engine Mechanic at Swift Transportation, you will play a vital part in keeping our fleet of over 13,000 trucks and 60,000 trailers running smoothly. With more than 12,000 company drivers on the road, we need skilled professionals like you to maintain our equipment and ensure the safety of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to meet OEM specifications (Freightliner, International, Volvo, Cummins, and Detroit)
Inspect and diagnose issues with tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment
Complete quality inspections and repairs to extend the lifespan of our vehicles
Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to achieve team goals and objectives

About the Salary:
This is a highly competitive position with an estimated salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and location. As a member of our team, you will have opportunities for growth and career advancement within our organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Valid CDL driver's license preferred but not required
3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or equivalent experience
Familiarity with heavy truck repair and maintenance practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
