About the Role

Gastro Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Histology Technician to join our team. As a Lead Histology Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of histology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and handle biohazards and chemically hazardous materials with care.
  • Perform routine histology tasks, including accessioning, staining, and embedding tissue samples.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field.
  • HT or HTL certification by ASCP.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Histology Technician.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
