Job Description

Huston Electric, Inc. is seeking a skilled Division 28 Systems Installation and Maintenance Expert to join our team in Lafayette, Indiana.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing installations, maintenance, and repairs of Division 28 systems, including Fire Alarm, Access Control, Mass Evacuation, ERCES, CCTV, and Paging Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of Division 28 systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion according to safety standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshoot issues with various systems and provide effective solutions.
  • Utilize technical drawings and schematics to guide installations and repairs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Division 28 installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions.

This is a bargaining position in the IBEW.

Job Duties:

  • Low Voltage Technician - Fire Alarm, Access Control, Security, CCTV, Paging, Intercom, DAS/ERCES, Voice and Data.

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in some of the areas of discipline mentioned.
  • Proficiency in reading prints, using a multimeter, and operating a PC.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 5 years of experience in Fire Alarm systems.
  • Willingness to learn new disciplines.
