Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. As an ICU RN, you will provide direct patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
- Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs, as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy.
- Document nursing history and physical assessments, transcribe and execute physician orders.
- Respond to staffing and scheduling needs, and other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an approved accredited Registered Nurse Program; more than one year of experience preferred.
- Holds or is eligible for current RN licensure in the State of South Dakota.
- Mandatory Basic and Advanced Life Support Training per policy.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Good critical thinking skills, with ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
- Ability to work independently, with strong communication skills.
The ICU Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing and walking, and occasional sitting. The employee may infrequently bump into things, perform long reaches, and work at uncomfortable heights and in uncomfortable positions.
The job requires potential exposure to infectious disease and body fluids, as well as repetitive motion.
