Position Summary

This role is classified as non-exempt and reports directly to the General Manager. As a Culinary Specialist at Zaxby's, your primary responsibility will be to enhance the guest experience by consistently delivering high-quality meals promptly. Your tasks will encompass receiving and organizing inventory, preparing, cooking, and assembling orders, maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, and upholding food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Availability to work a minimum of 9 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Stay informed about current promotions
• Represent the Zaxby's brand with enthusiasm
• Assist with guest service and front-of-house operations
• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with company standards while ensuring safety and sanitation
• Handle food and beverages in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
• Safely operate food preparation and cooking equipment
• Maintain adequate product levels in assigned stations to meet immediate needs
• Accurately assemble and package guest orders
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs to management
• Assist with inventory management and storage
• Receive and stock incoming inventory
• Store food items following food safety protocols
• Notify management when inventory is low
• Organize and clean storage areas
• Complete all tasks promptly and efficiently
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk continuously
• Occasional bending, crouching, or climbing, including ladder use
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting
• Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
• Effective communication through speech, reading, and writing
• Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgment to respond to the environment
• Work in a fast-paced setting with temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
• Safely operate restaurant equipment, including knives and fryers
