Job Title: Shipping Forklift Operator

At Performance Food Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Shipping Forklift Operator to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of our production process by transporting incoming freight to inventory and replenishing pick slots in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport incoming freight to inventory from staging areas for storage in the appropriate slots, on the multi-level racks in the assigned warehouse area.
  • Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items.
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
  • Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in work area as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
  • 6 Months to 1 year of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Able to lift and stack product between 10-30 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout shift.
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
  • Foodservice distribution or related industry experience.
  • Pallet jack and/or forklift certified.
