Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC BAS Technician to join our team at the University at Buffalo. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and programming Building Automation Systems (BAS) to optimize energy efficiency and comfort in our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and install BAS systems, including Andover/Schneider electric and Siemens programming
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of BAS systems with other building systems
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on existing BAS systems
  • Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions to reduce energy consumption and costs
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in BAS design and installation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in BAS design, installation, and programming, including experience with Andover/Schneider electric and Siemens systems
  • Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in HVAC, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or related field, with 4+ years of experience in BAS design, installation, and programming
  • Experience with energy management systems, including energy monitoring and control
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations

  • Competitive salary range: $52,000 - $60,000
