We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Critical Care team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our critical care services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
- Acute Care certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience working in a critical care setting, preferably in a hospital or acute care environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
