Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school district in California. The successful candidate will provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to students, helping them achieve their full communication potential and academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Perform thorough speech and language evaluations to identify students' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Create and implement tailored IEPs for students with speech and language difficulties, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to students, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote effective communication.
  • Collaborate with School Personnel: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress and ensure a cohesive approach to education.
  • Monitor and Document Progress: Regularly assess and document student progress, making adjustments to intervention plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Actively engage in IEP meetings, providing professional guidance and recommendations to support student success.
  • Stay Current with Best Practices: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology, ensuring the highest quality services for students.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
  • California State License: Hold a valid California State License in Speech-Language Pathology (issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence: Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential: Hold a California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing (or eligibility to obtain this credential).
  • Experience in a School Setting: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
