We are seeking a skilled LPN-3W Orthopedic-Methodist West to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a valued member of our Acute Care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide hands-on nursing care to patients with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses
- Participate in patient and family educational activities and implement individualized teaching and discharge plans
- Perform nursing care activities in collaboration with other team members to facilitate achievement of overall goals
- Reinforce care provided by other team members and provide direction and supervision to unlicensed assistive personnel
- Contribute to the assessment of patients' physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions, as well as their educational and discharge needs
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Iowa
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire
- Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
- Microsoft Office - basic computer skills
- Customer/patient-focused and critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions
