Job Title: Professor of Nursing

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Nursing to join our faculty team at Mt. San Antonio College. As a Professor of Nursing, you will be responsible for teaching medical-surgical nursing courses in both the didactic and clinical settings, as well as participating in curriculum development and program advisory board activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach medical-surgical nursing courses in both the didactic and clinical settings
  • Participate in curriculum development and program advisory board activities
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to plan and develop related programs
  • Provide instruction and support to a diverse population of students
  • Maintain scheduled office and campus hours, and participate in department/division meetings and committees
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in nursing or related field
  • Commitment to the community college goals and objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English
  • Desirable qualifications include maternal child health and/or psychiatric nursing experience, computer skills, and recent employment as an RN
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct patient care experience within the previous five years in the nursing areas to which the faculty is assigned
  • Validated clinical competence
  • Equivalency determination supplemental form
License(s) and Other Requirements:

The incumbent may periodically be required to get to a variety of locations. If operating a vehicle, employees must have the ability to secure and maintain a valid California driver's license.

A committee will evaluate applications, taking into account breadth and depth of relevant education, training, experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
