Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipping Lead to join our team at Career Concepts. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our warehouse and transportation operations.

Responsibilities
  • Safe Operation: Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety guidelines, regulations, and company policies. Conduct pre-shift inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, stack, and arrange materials or products using a forklift. Move materials between storage areas, production lines, trucks, or other designated locations. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to the required destinations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by properly documenting materials received, moved, or shipped. Conduct periodic inventory counts and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Warehouse Organization: Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Arrange materials or products in a logical and efficient manner to facilitate easy access retrieval.
  • Safety Awareness: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries. Report any potential hazards or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including materials handled, equipment inspections, and any incidents or accidents that occur during operations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience as a forklift driver or operator.
  • Strong knowledge of forklift operations, safety procedures, and maintenance.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
Benefits and Compensation
  • Full-time position.
  • Pay rate is $18.15 per hour.
  • 1st shift.
  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts.
