Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Certified Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to critically ill patients in our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pulmonary care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under the direction of a physician.
  • Perform various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans.
  • Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Participate in Code Blue and White response, airway management, and emergency response.
  • Deliver aerosolized drugs, ventilator management, and oxygen delivery devices.
  • Perform chest film analysis, blood gas collection, and EKG analysis.
  • Accurately document patient information and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in CAP and JC surveys.
Requirements
  • RCP License in the state of employment required.
  • BLS required.
  • CRT thru the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
  • 2-3 years of experience preferred.
