Job Summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team in the Paint Shop Department. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for painting metal parts using industrial machine tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate paint sprayers and other equipment to apply coatings to metal parts
  • Work from process sheets, blueprints, or verbal instructions to perform production tasks
  • Check stenciling on parts against blueprints to ensure quality
  • Inspect parts for defects prior to the finishing process
  • Patch and grind parts when needed to meet finishing specs
  • Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift
  • Move parts to the final inspection area when done

Requirements:

  • Prior experience with paint sprayers and industrial equipment
  • Average math skills and ability to read and comprehend instructions in English
  • Detail-oriented and able to adapt to changing production demands
  • Physically able to handle heavy items up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
