Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Prepare and dispense medication orders per physician request, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Therapeutic Drug Monitoring: Provide therapeutic drug monitoring by profiling physician orders, ensuring safe and effective medication therapies for patients.
- Computer Order Entry: Enter physician orders into the computer system, building medication profiles and ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
- IV / Oral Medication Preparation: Facilitate the preparation and dispensing of IV and oral medications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise technicians in their daily duties, providing guidance and training to ensure the effective operation of the pharmacy department.
- Clinical Consultation: Provide clinical consultation, clarification, and drug information to practitioners and patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
- Quality and Compliance: Contribute to the quality and effective operation of the department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and established policies and procedures.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required, with a minimum of 6 months of experience in a hospital setting.
- Licensure and Certification: Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of practice required, with a Bachelor of Science Pharmacy Degree and graduation from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong mathematical and computer literacy skills.
