Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal-level leader to participate in the growth and development of our Engineering Mechanics and Infrastructure (EMI) Group in California. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of technical excellence, business development, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop business and deliver projects through client relationships, strategic marketing, project management, and technical expertise.
  • Market, organize, coordinate, and execute project assignments of various sizes, leveraging the engineering skillsets of SGH personnel.
  • Lead, support, mentor, and train staff, fostering a team atmosphere that promotes technological achievement, business development, and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Master of Science, Master of Engineering, or Doctorate in Structural Engineering or related field required.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering or engineering mechanics.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Experience with leading-edge work, creativity in finding and communicating solutions, and a strong track record of recognized technical excellence and market leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong client relationships and a substantial revenue base.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to developing high-level talent.
  • Participation in professional society activities and publishing papers.
  • Experience as an accomplished public speaker.
