This position is responsible for ensuring that all dishware, utensils, and glassware are spotless and readily available for service, while also managing the cleanliness of cooking equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a consistent supply of clean dishware, utensils, and glassware for dining areas.
  • Ensure that pots, pans, and cooking utensils are cleaned and ready for kitchen staff use.
  • Thoroughly clean workstations and all equipment utilized in food preparation.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Keep the dishwashing area, including machines, tables, walls, and floors, in optimal sanitary condition.
  • Disassemble and reassemble dishwashing equipment as necessary for maintenance.
  • Manage waste disposal effectively and efficiently.
  • Uphold a clean workstation with a proactive approach, including mopping and maintaining surrounding areas.
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Understanding of general sanitation and safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical capability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy items as required.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
