Your Role as a Certified Nursing Aide

We are currently looking for dedicated Certified Nursing Aides to join our Team Select family. In this role, you will provide essential personal care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients in their homes, under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver services as outlined in the care plan and perform tasks permitted under state regulations.
  • Assist with direct patient personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, and other assigned duties.
  • Support patients with simple procedures as directed by therapy or nursing services.
  • Help with mobility and exercises as instructed.
  • Administer medications that patients can typically self-administer, following state guidelines.
  • Maintain strict infection control practices, particularly hand hygiene and safety precautions as directed by the RN.
  • Adhere to established agency policies and procedures.
  • Complete visit records promptly in accordance with agency standards.
  • Report any changes in patient conditions to the RN in a timely manner.
  • Perform household services essential to healthcare in the home as required.
  • Participate in staff meetings and patient care conferences as scheduled.
  • Follow agency protocols for cleaning equipment between patient uses.
  • Document care provided effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by the RN and communicate any incomplete assignments.
  • Only accept assignments for which you have received appropriate training.
  • When applicable, follow RN delegation tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard all patient-related information.
  • Report any complaints, infections, variances, accidents, or unusual occurrences to the RN.
  • Engage in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities as requested.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance as per agency policy.
  • Ensure a professional appearance, being clean and well-groomed at all times.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills through daily documentation and minimal overtime.
  • Attend position-related in-services and mandatory training programs as scheduled.
  • Keep a clean and organized work environment.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Maintain current CPR certification and health certifications as required by state regulations.
  • Ensure all human resource renewals are completed as directed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or meet state regulations.
  • Maintain licensure or certification as required by state regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
