Job Overview

Job Summary:

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse II to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver holistic and individualized care to patients in the Emergency Department, incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate patient care plans, ensuring timely and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve departmental and corporate objectives, prioritizing assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures.
  • Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality, adhering to hospital policies and industry standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California licensure.
  • Emergency Room ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Emergency Room PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
  • Emergency Room BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Emergency Room TNCC-Trauma Nursing Corp Course completion within 180 days of hire.
  • 1 year RN experience in an Acute Care Facility.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with a 24-hour workweek, rotating weekends, and 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
