Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Alleghany Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care. You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
- Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Must hold a current valid license to practice nursing in North Carolina with no pending or substantiated findings of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or misappropriation of resident or patient property recorded with the board of nursing.
- Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
- Minimum of one year medical surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
- Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people.
- Uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times.
- Actively functions as a patient advocate.
- Knowledge of current hospital emergency policies and procedures is required.
