About Operations

Operations has diverse responsibilities, including settling transactions, identifying operational risk, and partnering with technology to develop streamlined processes. The operations department continually seeks improvements and supports the development of new business, structures, and markets.

The Role

We are looking for a strong candidate to join the Flex SMA team within Operations. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing strong product and asset class knowledge and demonstrating industry interest
  • Providing white-glove client support, including servicing clients, quantifying prospects, and sending follow-up information
  • Onboarding new RIAs and accounts into the Flex SMA strategies
  • Helping oversee daily Contribution, Withdrawal, and Transfer process for AQR's Flex Separately Managed Accounts
  • Working closely with AQR's Portfolio Implementation Team to translate daily cash flow details
  • Investigating operational inquiries spanning AQR's infrastructure
  • Collaborating with AQR's Onboarding Team to launch new strategies
  • Interacting with AQR's Engineering team to enhance systems and improve technology and processes
  • Identifying operational inefficiencies and creating scalable workflows
  • Driving and tracking project initiatives across the firm

Requirements

We're looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3-5 years of experience in asset management, focused on client services. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as passion for client service and ability to manage competing priorities. Well-organized individuals with the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines are preferred. Prior project management experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, are pluses.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $100,000 to $110,000. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. A comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits, is offered to eligible employees.
