Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Leader

Ascension Seton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Leader to join our team at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas.
About the RoleThis is a full-time night shift position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide leadership and coordination of unit staffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care for one or more assigned nursing specialty areas.
Key Responsibilities- Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support associates during assigned shifts.
- Meet with staff and exercise independent judgment to plan the shifts, services, and patient care.
- Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.
- Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
- Facilitate availability of adequate material, resources, and supplies.
- Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluation of staff.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of Pediatric Critical Care RN PICU experience and be credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing. Ascension Seton is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
