Position: Regulatory Compliance Radio Frequency (RF/Wireless) Test Engineer
As a vital contributor to the RF Subject Matter Expert (SME) testing team, you will have numerous opportunities for professional development and advancement. Collaborate closely with the Lab Manager and Lab Supervisor while providing essential support to the Technical Sales Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate extensive experience in conducting tests according to regulatory standards across a diverse range of devices.
- Exhibit competence and precision in testing, project management, communication, sales support, reporting, and team collaboration.
- Assist the Technical Sales Team in validating testing standards and collaborating to create comprehensive test plans and project hour estimates.
- Engage in ongoing technical training sessions on a quarterly basis.
- Prepare and oversee both internal and external projects.
- Show interest in diagnosing and troubleshooting devices that do not meet testing standards.
- Maintain client interactions throughout the testing process.
- Ensure meticulous record-keeping and data entry related to testing projects.
- Address general inquiries regarding the testing scope.
- Possess knowledge of FCC regulations, including parts 15b, 15c, 15e, 15.247, 22, 24, 27, and 90, along with their Canadian equivalents.
- Familiarity with additional FCC parts such as 18, 30, 73, 74, and 87 is advantageous.
- Understand EU RED and EMC Directives and related standards, particularly concerning the aforementioned FCC rule parts.
- Basic awareness of industry associations like GCF, PTCRB, CTIA, Wi-Fi Alliance, BT SIG, and LoRa Alliance is a plus.
Qualifications:
- 2-4+ years of relevant RF Testing experience in a Regulatory TIC ISO 17025 Test Lab or a similar environment, testing various devices against multiple FCC standards.
- Eligibility to work legally in the United States.
- High attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in business tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Calendly.
- Demonstrate accountability, integrity, and strong ethical standards.
- A positive attitude and a desire for a long-term career in a collaborative team environment.
