Compensation: $28 per hour
Position Overview: The Amergis Staffing Team is actively seeking Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurses for Clinic Nurse roles within educational settings in the Osceola County area for the academic year.
Position Details:
Shift Length: 8 hours (including a 30-minute break)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, with shifts from 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm based on school requirements.
Contract Duration: Full academic year
Benefits: Weekly pay, comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, and 401k.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate student care needs.
- Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with prescribed orders and Individualized Health Plans (IHP).
- Administer treatments and medications as prioritized in the IHP.
- Monitor and document the effectiveness of interventions and treatments.
- Ensure accurate documentation per client expectations.
- Coordinate services between the school, local health agencies, and community resources to address student needs.
- Communicate effectively with school district personnel regarding student care plans.
- Notify relevant parties about changes in student conditions as outlined in the IHP.
- Collaborate with educational and health personnel to design and meet students' healthcare needs.
- Evaluate and ensure student safety at all times.
- Adhere to policies and standards set by Amergis and the school district.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice.
- Preferred one year of professional nursing experience.
- Commitment to professional standards and practices.
- Willingness to engage in skill advancement opportunities.
- Current CPR certification.
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Strong communication skills and computer proficiency.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
