Job Title: Tooling Engineer

At Apple, we're looking for a skilled Tooling Engineer to lead the development of new plastic injection tooling projects. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and manufacturing high-quality plastic tools that meet our stringent performance and cosmetic requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of new plastic injection tooling projects from design to production
  • Collaborate with suppliers to design and produce world-class plastic tooling
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and quality
  • Train engineers at supplier plants in Asia on new tooling materials and fabrication techniques
  • Advise suppliers on maintaining correct controls on processes
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in the mold making and molding industry
  • Extensive experience in tooling design and manufacturing
  • Knowledge of plastic materials and design for manufacturing
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
