Rockwork Carver

We are seeking a skilled Rockwork Carver to join our team at WorkSkill. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for creating high-quality rockwork and concrete features for our clients.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Work with a variety of materials, including concrete, plaster, epoxy, foam, and urethane, to create tools and plug-ins.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning the work area, including moving equipment and cleaning hoses as needed.
• Listen to and comprehend artistic direction from leads, and respectfully follow instructions to complete tasks.
• Operate a range of tools, including mason tools, hopper guns, drill mixing paddles, pressure washers, shop vacs, and shovels.
• Collaborate with teammates to achieve common goals, demonstrating a positive attitude and willingness to help.
• Perform repetitive tasks efficiently and consistently, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
• Learn to hand mix and site mix concrete to the correct consistency, and apply techniques to shape, scratch, texture, and carve concrete properly.
• Properly mix epoxies, apply, and clean up, as well as safely handle materials and dispose of them correctly.
• Waterproof structures according to the Company's specifications, and create texture pads as needed.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Working knowledge of carving techniques and a broad collection of tools used in completing this work.
• Familiarity with peripheral jobs required to complete the work, including pump and mixing operation, basic understanding of mixes used for structure/texture, and reinforcing.
• Ability to create an acceptable artistic product and complete the work with moderate oversight and guidance.
• Assess whether the material is being applied properly based on specifications, and ensure correct adhesion, depth, and finish.
• Properly shape and scratch the structure coat.
• Listen to and comprehend artistic direction from leads, offer ideas and experience in completing the task if solicited, and respectfully follow their lead in its completion.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning the work area, and act to assist the pump team during shoots if issues arise with the hose.
• Responsible for noting all integration elements within the work, knowing how to finish these elements, and executing these proper procedures.
• Create texture pads when needed for work.
• Properly prepare and waterproof the work based on the materials the Company specifies.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Create a high-level artistic product from beginning to end with minimal oversight or guidance.
• Extrapolate from reference material what material is needed to do the work, the steps needed to do the work, the tools needed to do the work, and the protection needed to do the work, and be able to set these in motion without additional oversight.
• Assess the task and understand which tools/materials are needed to complete it and line out work for the day with the most efficient workflow.
• Assess whether the pump is shooting properly and that the material is being applied properly to the wall at the correct depth as per the specs of the job.
• Relay artistic direction to team members if there is confusion in a clear manner.
• Teach techniques to fellow workers and assess if people on the team need corrective measures and/or additional training with techniques.
• Listen, comprehend, and converse about the artistic direction from Art Directors, offer ideas and experience in completing the task if solicited, and respectfully follow their lead in its completion.
• Manage a clean and organized work area that shows professionalism.
