About the Role

Summit Medical Group is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join their team in Oak Ridge. As a CMA/RMA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
  • Record vital signs of patients, including pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
  • Perform appropriate procedures, such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, etc.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient education.
  • Handle phone nursing tasks, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, and calling in prescriptions.
  • Perform clerical duties necessary for physicians to see patients, including contacting patients regarding test results.
  • Schedule patient appointments with efficient use of clinical time slots.
  • Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required.
  • Six months of phlebotomy and clinical experience required.
