Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician

At Inova, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join our team. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide cardiac monitoring and testing to patients
  • Apply orthopedic splinting devices as needed
  • Collect patient specimens in accordance with department and facility policies
  • Provide wound care and act as a resource to physicians and nurses
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize patient care
  • Assist with patient transport for testing, admission/discharge, interfacility, and aeromedical purposes
Requirements:
  • Experience: EMT-related experience preferred
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification: BLS and EMT-B; must be active on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or possess a current Virginia EMT License/Certification
  • Training: Ability to attend six-week training orientation upon hire
  • Special Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; computer skills
