We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the architecture and design development of large-scale projects related to data center racks, electrical vehicle charges, and energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain processes and methods for product and technology architecture development & documentation, mechanical system design & documentation, and requirements engineering.
- Guide and oversee the development of mechanical system component requirements, interfaces, and specifications necessary to maintain the consistency and integrity of the product developments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other product components.
- Develop and implement design reviews to ensure high-quality mechanical designs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, with a focus on large-scale electronic products.
- Strong knowledge of key development tools and design standards, including 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis, Tolerances, Advanced Manufacturing Principles, and Interference Checks.
- Experience with stage-gate process development and mechanical design reviews.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with packaging and developing electronic enclosures.
- Knowledge of energy storage systems and electrical vehicle chargers.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
