Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Orthopedics Team at Essentia Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting, contributing to the mission and goals of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with initial patient assessments, including vital sign measurement and medical history taking.
  • Support orthopedic and podiatric procedures by preparing sterile instruments, assisting with patient positioning, and providing necessary supplies.
  • Manage and care for wounds, including dressing changes and infection control.
  • Assist with the application and removal of casts and splints.
  • Help patients with the use of mobility aids, such as crutches, walkers, or wheelchairs.
Requirements
  • Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire.
