About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Sardi's Pollo A La Brasa. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations, including food standards, costs, safety, and quality control.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership skills by rallying your team during peak periods, resolving conflicts, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Management Skills: Effectively manage kitchen operations, including food costs, inventory, and labor management.
  • Organizational Skills: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of kitchen operations, including schedules, inventory, and quality control.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Develop and implement effective solutions to problems that arise in the kitchen, including employee conflicts, customer complaints, and inventory management.
  • Communication Skills: Clearly and effectively communicate with staff, management, and customers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Stamina: Demonstrate the ability to work long hours in a fast-paced kitchen environment, often on your feet.
Requirements
  • Education: A college degree is not necessary but is preferred.
  • Language: Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in an executive kitchen position is required.
  • Culinary Creativity: Demonstrate a high level of culinary creativity and innovation in menu development and kitchen operations.
  • Food Safety: Possess a strong knowledge of local, state, and federal food sanitation regulations and ensure compliance in all kitchen operations.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate the ability to provide direction and supervision to kitchen staff.
  • Certifications: Hold a valid Food Handler/Safe Serv certification.
