MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is seeking a full-time physician specializing in Hematology and Oncology. Our organization is dedicated to delivering innovative and high-quality healthcare services. We focus on comprehensive health programs that span the entire continuum of care, fostering an environment of Compassion, Connection, and Collaborative Growth.
Our team of oncology professionals is experienced and cohesive, providing care for patients referred to us and those within the broader community.
Your Role
- Lead a comprehensive cancer care initiative, including active involvement in research programs and opportunities to serve as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in clinical trials.
- Participate in dedicated tumor board meetings addressing various cancer types (GI/GU, liver cancer, breast, lung, neuro-oncology, hematologic malignancies).
- Utilize advanced technology and diagnostic tools, including onsite PET scan capabilities for PSMA PET, FES PET, and standard PET/CT scans.
- Collaborate closely with academic institutions and university medical centers.
- Benefit from established primary care referral networks with multiple community sources.
- Work alongside a dedicated care coordinator and scheduling team, supported by a robust financial authorization department.
- Provide full infusion services, encompassing conventional chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $40,000 signing bonus.
- Competitive base salary with substantial incentives, transitioning to a productivity-based salary after the first year.
- Generous vacation policy of 4 weeks+, plus 1 week for continuing medical education with a generous stipend, malpractice coverage, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
- Possession of an unrestricted Maryland Physician (MD/DO) License or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
- Successful completion of an accredited Residency/Fellowship program or the ability to complete it before employment.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in medical oncology or hematology and oncology.
Note: The salary range for candidates is competitive and based on total cash compensation at target, with actual figures varying based on experience and performance metrics. Compensation is influenced by factors such as education, work experience, and certifications. In addition to salary, MedChi offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive programs and retirement contributions (subject to eligibility requirements).
