Responsibilities:
- Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify individual needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with family members and caregivers to provide education and support, promoting patient empowerment and self-management.
- Participate in rounds, contributing to the development and implementation of patient care plans, and ensuring seamless transitions between shifts.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, documenting patient progress, medication administration, and other relevant information.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
- BSN or MSN degree preferred, with a focus on oncology or a related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with the ability to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending.
