Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to join our team at Aleron. As an RF Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing RF circuitry in high-frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide design support for wideband receiver CCAs and assembly up to 18 GHz.
  • Architect and design Radio Frequency systems and circuitry.
  • Design and develop RF circuitry in high-frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.
  • Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and testing.
  • Prepare test methods and specifications; analyze and test RF hardware to verify performance characteristics.
  • Provide inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and support manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase.
  • Develop RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of antennas, transmitters, receivers, low-noise amplifiers, high-power amplifiers, RF conversion elements, and transmission line equipment.
  • Perform link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources.
  • Develop and allocate RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements.
  • Identify and track RF technical performance measurements (TPMs).
  • Perform RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis.
  • Support Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 14 years experience as an RF Engineer.
  • Minimum of 14 years of RF architecture design experience.
  • Minimum of 14 years experience in system simulation/analysis (SystemVue or AWR VSS).
  • Minimum of 14 years experience in full-wave simulation/analysis (HFSS or CST).
  • Minimum of 14 years experience in RF circuit simulation/analysis (ADS or AWR Microwave Office).
  • Minimum of 14 years experience in high RF testing techniques, including using an RF probe station.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Wideband RF system and circuit design experience.
  • Commercial RF design experience.
  • Must be willing and able to mentor multiple design engineers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary.
