Job Summary
Ward County Human Service Zone is seeking a dedicated Child Welfare Specialist to join our Child Welfare/Family Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children and families to ensure their safety, permanency, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the Wrap Around Case Management services and Safety Framework Practice Model to prevent future maltreatment or foster care placement.
- Perform case management activities involving complex problems/cases, assess individual and family needs, and develop appropriate services and/or treatment plans.
- Conduct case planning meetings, develop case plans and goals, and monitor client progress towards goals.
- Complete legal obligations relevant to case management, including face-to-face contact with children and families.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, or criminal justice.
- One of the following certifications: Family Services Specialist III (SC7005), Family Services Specialist II (SC7004), or Family Services Specialist I (SC7004).
- Valid ND Driver's License and adequate insurance.
