Job Overview

The Store Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of Hibbett Retail, Inc., overseeing store operations and driving sales efforts to ensure profitability. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of retail operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage store assets and resources effectively.
  • Direct and oversee entire sales efforts in the store.
  • Maintain accurate sales statistics, inventory levels, and expenses to drive profit.
  • Collaborate with District Sales Managers to establish and enforce policies, goals, and procedures.
  • Direct staff to ensure all responsibilities and standards are met in each department.
  • Mentor and develop a team of outstanding Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training.
  • Carry out personnel recruiting, hiring, training, discipline, and evaluation.
Supervisory Responsibilities

The Store Manager is responsible for managing subordinate supervisors and non-management employees, including Sales Associates, Hub Drivers, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training. This includes interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
  • Experience in managing and cultivating a sales team.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical thinker with demonstrated business acumen.
  • Strong commitment to customer service.
