Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Procurement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Procurement Department to align with our company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase Order Management
    • Prepare and send purchase orders to suppliers and departments.
    • Verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications with sales teams.
  • Vendor Communication
    • Respond to customer and vendor inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve issues.
  • Purchasing File Management
    • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports, and price lists.
    • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
  • Order Tracking and Invoicing
    • Track the status of requisitions, rebates, and orders.
    • Calculate costs of orders and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts.
  • Vendor Performance Monitoring
    • Monitor vendor performance and provide information about state/local and governmental rules affecting purchases.
  • Equipment Procurement
    • Issue purchase orders for requisition of equipment.
    • Update ledger information to ensure proper tracking.
  • Communication and Liaison
    • Communicate continuously with vendors and manage equipment ordered to ensure minimal production time and delivery.
    • Work with licensing and fleet compliance supervisors to ensure timely arrival of licensing credentials with equipment.
  • Accounts Receivable and Financing
    • Manage accounts receivable for ordered equipment.
    • Work closely with financing staff and LKE staff to fund equipment timely and efficiently.
  • Insurance and Warranty
    • Work with insurance staff to ensure proper vehicle equipment values are reported.
    • Submit in-service dates for ordered equipment to manufacturers to ensure proper start date of warranty.
  • Rebates and Compliance
    • Work with vendors and NationaLease to file for rebates after vehicle has been paid for and delivered.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of class 3-8 truck and trailer equipment required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
