Key Responsibilities- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean the community pool daily, including the pool deck and surrounding area, to maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents.
- Pool Safety: Observe and enforce all pool safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure experience for our residents.
- Supply Management: Perform regular supply inventories to advise management of needed equipment and supplies, including First Aid kits and equipment.
- Resident Monitoring: Monitor residents during pool hours to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Log Maintenance: Record and maintain a log of residents' pool usage to track activity and identify trends.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the pool maintains local codes and policies for operation, and submit a monthly pool operations report to the Community Manager for the Department of Environmental Quality.
- Weather Response: Close the pool during signs of threatening weather to prevent accidents and ensure resident safety.
- Certifications and Training: Obtain state certifications as required, and complete any necessary training to maintain a high level of expertise.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the community pool.
- Previous Experience: Previous lifeguard experience and First Aid/CPR training are preferred.
- Education: A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Age and Certification: Certified proof of 18+ years of age is required, and a valid operator's license with a good driving record is necessary.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills are essential for this role.
- Physical Demands: Ability to tolerate exposure to various pool/hot tub chemicals, and ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds in life-saving emergencies.
The hourly pay range for this position is $14.42-$16.00, based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. This is a temporary opportunity with competitive compensation.
