Seeking Senior Diesel Mechanic to Support Truck Fleet

At Ryder System, we are looking for a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Bridgeton, Missouri. As a Senior Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty trucks, ensuring they are safe and reliable on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, including oil changes, brake work, and tire maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic computer tools
  • Work independently on most tasks, with minimal supervision
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to resolve issues
  • Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation to track work and maintain records

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, or post-secondary degree in a related field, preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
  • All other certification as required by location, required
